“Welfare for the Wealthy”

February 20, 2016

By now, the phrase “the game is rigged” has become practically a cliche, and even some of the riggers are now rhetorically trying to contort that into their own messages. Take Charles Koch’s recent exercise in dissembling on the op-ed page of the Washington Post. Charles Murray, who rocketed to fame with his racist tract, “The Bell Curve,” years ago, wrote similarly dishonest bit of blather in the Wall Street Journal.

But John Sides, on the Post’s “Monkey Cage” blog, has an interview with political scientist Chris Faricy, author of the new book, “Welfare for the Wealthy,” that, hopefully, will remind us of the actual facts of the matter.

More on this down the road . . .
