Imagine what things might be like if public policy were based on this level of intelligent discourse. Heck, imagine where we’d be if someone with real political power actually listened.

To me, perhaps the most important piece of this is that inequality is not (as Stiglitz stresses) the product of The Invisible Hand of the Marketplace, but by public policy, made, especially at the federal level, more often than not by millionaires.
