Murrow is one of my heroes. Would have given just about anything to have been a “Murrow Boy” covering WW II. For whatever his flaws, he was a giant, and we certainly could use a few of his type nowadays.

Plowing through “Murrow: His Life and Times,” by A.M. Sperber this weekend. Have read Stanley Cloud and Lynne Olson’s “The Murrow Boys” several times, and have Bob Edwards’ “Edward R. Murrow and the Birth of Broadcast Journalism” on my to-read list. Also loved the movie “Good Night, Good Luck.”
