Proverbs, Chapter 11, Verse 29 . . . .

“He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind . . . ” (King James version)

Experienced readers of this blog will know that I grew up a pretty hard-right Republican, in a household that would be close to Tea Party today. Despite my conversion years ago, I have personal friends in my former political universe, including one who works for a majorly influential business advocacy organization. Back in November, 2010, he was chortling about the R’s taking over the House, coming close in the Senate, and dealing President Obama a body blow, all due to Tea Party activism, funded and driven (behind the scenes) by the usual wealthy interests. I told him then he would rue the day they rode the Tea Party express to victory.

Jill Lawrence, writing in the National Journal, proves my point.
