Kyle Lohse won his second start by scattering 4 hits over 6 innings and allowing only 1 run. Fifty-seven of his 94 pitches were strikes.

Mitchell Boggs and Jason Motte closed the door. David Freese, who has really come out of the blocks fast, went 2 for 3 and homered (his 3rd in 6 games, with 10 RBIs), as did Carlos Beltran (also his 3rd, with 4 RBIs).

The bad news – Lance Berkman left the game with tightness in his calf.

Final game of the series is tomorrow afternoon. Then back to St. Louis Friday for the season home opener, against, fittingly, the Cubs.
